Urban culture is a physical and social structure made by the presence of a great number of different people in a very limited space. Most of them are strangers to each other. Cities have always been key sites for trans-cultural association such as local and long- distance trade and the transmission of innovations.

According to U.S. Census Bureau, the United States is the third largest country in the world with a population of more than 320 million. Because of this, United States is one of the most culturally diverse countries in the world and nearly every region of the world has influenced American culture. Your dress can inform about your ambitions, emotions and your type of employment. Dr. Jennifer Baumgartner explains in her book that our psychology determines our clothing choice and also how to overcome key psychological issues your wardrobe might be bringing to light in your everyday life, or even at work. People use clothes and accessories as a tool to know where they fit in.

According to Dr. Baumgartner, “Americans rely on clothing as an economic and social indicator because there aren’t official marks of rank such as a cast system or aristocracy.” A study from Northwestern University describes the systematic influence of clothes on your personality and feelings. Children make groups in the streets which is the most vulnerable group. They have different problems, but find ways on their own. One type of group refers to children who are homeless and streets in urban areas are their sources of livelihood, where they sleep and live. Another type of group works and lives on streets during day time and return back home at night. People in the streets are not concerned about culture and morals. Street life is very miserable as children who start living in the streets at the age of 9 to 12 face difficulties in providing themselves with good source of food, clean drinking water, health care services, bath services and adequate shelter. They feel insecure due to missing connection with their families. They lack moral and emotional support.
